Coffee makers are one of the most used appliances in the kitchen. Every morning, in millions of homes across America, coffee makers are set up to brew fresh coffee, and morning isn’t the only time that they are used; these appliances are also used in the afternoons, in evenings, for social gatherings, for holidays and celebrations; you get the idea.

Since a coffee maker is such an important part of the home, you want to get one that makes a great cup of coffee; however, you probably don’t want to spend a fortune on a machine. Do you have to sacrifice features and quality in order to make a delicious cup of coffee with ease? Nope! We’ve done some extensive research, tested out a number of coffee makers and selected our favorite coffee makers that offer the biggest bang for the buck. The following list is a compilation of coffee makers that really impressed us, that didn’t cost an arm and a leg, and that we are positive will impress you, too.

The Cuisinart Extreme Brew DCC-2650 Coffee Maker

The Best Coffee Makers for the Money

Price: $84.99

When it comes to features, great tasting coffee, and an affordable price tag, the Cuisinart Extreme Brew DCC-2650 Coffee Maker really impressed us. This drip coffee maker features a thick glass carafe, which sits on a heated plate to keep the brewed coffee nice and warm. What we really liked about this coffee maker was that both disposable and permanent coffee filters can be used with it, and you can switch the filters any time you want to. Another feature that we really liked was the temperature control setting, which you can adjust to get piping hot coffee or coffee that’s just pleasantly warm. The water filtration system also impressed us. This coffee maker utilizes a charcoal filter to remove charcoal and other flavors from the water that could spoil the taste of the coffee, leaving you with totally pure and delicious tasting coffee. Thanks to a self-cleaning system, any calcified residue that collected on the inside of the reservoir is removed. Another feature that we loved was the programmable start, which means that you can set up the coffee maker so that you can have a fresh pot of coffee waiting for you when you wake up in the morning.

The Melitta 10 Cup 46894 Coffee Maker

The Best Coffee Makers for the Money

Price: $47.99

We added the Melitta 10 Cup 46894 Coffee Maker to this list because we love that it brews three different strengths of coffee, which means that you can enjoy a cup of coffee that is truly customized to your taste preference. We also love that you can switch out the carafe, using either a glass one or a stainless steel thermal one. This coffee maker is programmable, so you can set your coffee to brew and stop brewing whenever you’d like. It also works with either paper or metal filters, which further adds to its flexibility. We also really liked the style of this coffee maker. It’s clean cut, sleek and modern, which means that it fits in well with a variety of kitchen designs.

The Hamilton Beach Black Ice 12 Cup 43255R Coffee Maker

The Best Coffee Makers for the Money

Price: $60.37

The Hamilton Beach Black Ice 12 Cup 43255R Coffee Maker received a spot on this list because we really fell in love with its programmable features and its gold filter, as well as its water filter. The filter cleans out any impurities in the water, which means that you’ll be able to really taste the flavor in the coffee beans without having to worry about the taste being compromised by charcoal or other impurities. This coffee maker is programmable, so you can set it to start brewing any time you’d like. We also like the digital clock display on the front of the machine, which is easy to read, and the gold filter, which makes the coffee taste even better!

The Mr. Coffee FTX 41-NP

The Best Coffee Makers for the Money

Price: $49.99

This drip coffee maker is the second Mr. Coffee machine on this list, which certifies how great the Mr. Coffee brand is. We added the FTX 41-NP to this list because we just loved its design, the ease of use and the taste of the coffee that the machine makes.

Thanks to the water filter, tap water is completely purified so that all you taste is the flavor of the coffee beans and not the taste of the impurities of the water. The self-cleaning feature is also very handy, as it makes cleaning the machine easier and doesn’t allow for the buildup of calcium deposits on the machine that can really impact the taste of your coffee.

The dual water reservoir means that you can easily see how much water is being poured into the machine. There’s also an automatic shut-off feature. After two hours of being on, the Mr. Coffee FTX 41-NP shuts off, so if you leave it on by accident when you leave the house, you don’t have to worry about coming home to the smell of burned coffee – and even more importantly, you don’t have to worry about a dangerous situation. The filter is also pretty neat. It’s a very fine mesh, which prevents coffee grinds from entering into the coffee (if you’ve ever had a cup of coffee with floating coffee grounds in it, then you will really appreciate this feature).

There’s also a pause function, which means that you can pull out the carafe and pour a cup of coffee before the entire brewing process is finished. Plus, the design is just so cool! It has an analog clock and looks totally futuristic. This coffee maker will definitely be an eye-catching addition to your kitchen counter.

Just because you don’t want to spend a ton of money on a coffee maker doesn’t mean that you have to sacrifice the flavor of your coffee – or the features of your coffee maker. Any of these coffee makers will give you a lot of bang for your buck.
